Hungry for God’s Word…

“We live in rural Hubei province. We have a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ. The majority are women and most are older in age. They have time and they have the Bible. What they need are Bible teachers.

Bible teaching programmes are popular and catch the attention of brothers and sisters who are hungry for God’s Word. They trust what is broadcast. May I urge you to add more Bible teaching time in your programmes to satisfy the hunger of our brothers and sisters and to stop heresy from spreading. Broadcast truths from the Bible so that brothers and sisters will put what they learn into practice and know the truths. They will grow spiritually.”

This letter sent to the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC), which broadcasts Derek Prince’s radio programmes into China, reminds us of the urgent need for good Biblical teaching in China.

The church in China continues to grow rapidly. China’s Christians are willing and enthusiastic in sharing the Gospel, but the believers so often lack a clear understanding of their new-found faith. There are so few who can adequately disciple new believers and lead them into a mature faith.

  • Praise God that the church in China is growing at a rapid rate and pray for the many millions of people who so desperately need good Biblical teaching.

  • Pray specifically for the believers whose letters are quoted above.
