New media is a term that we use to lump together several types of products that we can give to the Mainland Chinese believer. New media includes:

Electronic Books

These are books that have been printed in the traditional way but have also been prepared as Acrobat Files so that computer users can read them on their PC. Because the files are so small it is possible to place all the current book list onto a single CD - and they are also available for free download from our Chinese Language website www.ygmweb.org

 

Audio MP3 files

MP3 files are the new technology that allows you to compress traditionally very large audio files, thus making them smaller, without loosing quality. In today's world these files can be played an various devices. This versatility makes them especially useful for our purposes in China. All new DVD players for example can play MP3files, it is possible to buy Personal CD players that can play them and of course there are a plethora of MP3 players that one sees hanging around the necks of many young people - especially in China. All of Derek Prince’s radio broadcasts are available as MP3 files (around1500 of them) for free download from our Chinese Language website www.ygmweb.org

VCDs and DVDs

From our VCD and DVD replication facility in China we produce approx 500,000 discs each year. They contain Audio CDs of the MP3s mentioned above and videos of Derek's talks from various conferences around the world. All have proved to be very popular with the Chinese house churches. These products are then distributed by one of our coworkers inside China either by mail or road transport to house churches all across China.  The distribution network is vast and he travels a lot to do this. All provinces of China are reached by one means or  another.
